Southside under the spotlight: Introducing our new holiday cottages in Northumberland

Fresh off the press for 2021 is the arrival of our brand-new Southside Farm Holiday Cottages, which are located just outside of Lucker in Northumberland!

Situated on the edge of the village, Southside Farm enjoys beautiful scenic views and offers the possibility of long country walks in the area, as well as the luxury of a fixed hot tub and heartwarming woodburning stoves in Ash and Elm Cottage.

The steading of four cottages sees a sympathetic conversion of the original farm dwelling, with the addition of two brand new attached cottages built in stone to complement the original building. All cottages are laid out with a courtyard appearance benefitting from private parking for each.

The original farmhouse cottages have been converted and enlarged to create two stunning properties called Elm Ash Cottages. These cottages have three bedrooms and three bathrooms, including a junior suite which is set over two floors with the bedroom and separate stand-alone bath in the upper mezzanine for that romantic tranquil space. This suite has its own lounge area to the ground floor with an attached shower room.

Both Elm & Ash Cottages offer beautiful views to the rear of the cottage, which has been designed with a decking area that connects directly to the dining room. This is so guests to easily connect to the outside space and for those who want to pamper themselves, both cottages have fixed hot tubs that can be hired as an optional upgrade for all or part of your holiday.

Yew and Oak cottages each sleep four guests and have been modelled on our very successful Pippin and Crispin cottages, which are also located in Lucker.  The cottages have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, full central heating and the sought-after feature of a log fire. Externally these cottages have their own garden area which is fenced off to make them dog friendly!

With Ash and Oak cottage each sleeping up to eight people (both of these cottages have sofa beds to allow for two extra guests), and Yew and Elm cottage each sleeping four people, in total they can accommodate an impressive 24 guests… perfect if you are planning a celebration with family and friends, without treading on each other’s toes, yet being positioned together within the same complex.

Whether your dream holiday brings sand between your toes while admiring the crystal-clear waves, or strolling across the countryside with stunning views, we offer both options with our self-catering holiday cottage accommodation in Northumberland.
